Generally, corporate seems to be making lots of changes. Since the remodeling, westchase has been the worse store in tampa bay. Things started going downhill when they remodeled the westchase location. We’ve been to the multiple tampa bay locations hundreds of times.

Other than that, I am very happy with this place. Lately, that's been hit or miss and I had to go up to the counter the last time I was there. In the past, they used to have a dedicated 'roamer' who checked on the tables pretty regularly, often getting a refill for your drink while you wait. Their Taco Tuesdays is a great deal that I often take advantage of, with a side of queso for the numerous chips they include. Although it's standard fare where you basically have a choice of protein that you can eat in the form of a taco, burrito, enchilada, salad, bowl, nachos, quesidilla, or chimichanga with the appropriate accompaniment veggies, it's all fresh and made to order. You order at the counter and they bring your meal to you. The inside is spartan but clean, with super bright neon walls, TVs throughout, and a hot sauce bar that features a dozen choices from sweet and mild to blow your head off. At the Oldsmar location, there is often someone who opens the door and greets you. Although it's predominantly a central FL chain, I count it as supporting a local business. Tijuana Flats is the tops in my book when it comes to casual TexMex dining.
